The story so far!
I don't remember exactly when I decided I was going to write a book, but for a long timeI have been threatening family, friends, colleagues and acquaintances that I would include their actions and activities (scandalous, quirky, funny, ridiculous - you just couldn't make it up) in my book. And I thought it would be a waste to let those incidents go unrecorded. Foolishly, I didn't make notes as I went along, relying on my, then, phenomenal memory to keep track and file them, ready for when I got round to penning my best-selling tome.
Several decades down the line, I have finally got round to putting pen to paper and fingers to keyboard (I had to, having talked about it for so long, the questions kept coming about when they could expect to read the finished product). And where is that exceptional memory when I need it? Hm? Taken a (hopefully, temporary) break. So, like most writers, I am now reduced to using my imagination to fill the pages of my manuscript.
Along the way, I began a correspondence writing course (still to be completed two years later) to motivate me to write regularly, had a few articles published, some rejected, and started a second book as part of National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) – further motivation to write, write, write.
So, here I am
